A 23-year veteran in the media industry, Maki is a speaker, copywriter, filmmaker, and producer that specializes in crafting multimedia campaigns related to innovation and social and environmental issues.
She is passionate about supporting individuals and organizations tell their stories, and generate greater awareness across all media platforms.
Maki is actively engaged in organizing projects like local and global events related to culture, innovation, development, sustainability, conservation in partnership with media institutions, not-for-profit organizations, local governments, and local communities in over 20 countries.
Ms. McGuinness does a lot of work for foreign production outfits. Her global partners include The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan, Australia's CJZ, National Geographic, Philippine Department of Tourism’s ASEAN Tourism Vision, Strix TV Sweden’s Expedition Robinson, the US Survivor Series (seasons 25 - 28), UK’s Coral Cay Conservation as it’s Education Officer, The Bourne Legacy as an Assistant Director.
She is a graduate of the De La Salle University in Manila, with a Major in Communication Arts.
